National parks, according to The ParksBase, include everything from the National Park Service parks areas, including national historic areas, national seashores, national lakeshores, national military parks, national monuments, and more, to US Forest Service sites, including national forests, national monuments, national historic sites, and more, to Bureau of Land Management lands, National Wildlife Refuges, US Army Corps of Engineers sites, and more.
National parks are spots for recreation, historical studies, natural studies, cultural studies, and other educational opportunities. They are spots that are important to our natural, historical, and cultural heritage, and they have a lot to teach us.
