Hovenweep National Monument
People have lived around Hovenweep for more than 10,000 years. Permanent villages were constructed starting about A.D. 900. Six villages were constructed at Hovenweep around that time, and they were inhabited for roughly 300 years. What remains has become Hovenweep National Monument.
