McConnell’s Mill State Park, PA
A nineteenth century gristmill and covered bridge are the man-made centerpieces of the park, but the geologic features including boulders and waterfalls left by retreating glaciers are the real attractions.
The park is absolutely beautiful. There are numerous scenic overlooks, and plenty of spectacular views of the raging river. I would definitely spend a lot of time there if I lived nearby. If you live farther afield, I would still stop in if you are passing through, or even go out of your way for a gorgeous day at McConnell’s Mill.
